Smart Air Quality Control (SAQC) – Regione Lombardia
The project was born with the aim of implementing a high technological and innovative SMART (Wi-Fi) system for the indoor air quality control and diagnostics.
The system is composed by a set of detectors to measure the qualitative indoor air parameters that are connected via IoT, in order to get a real time health status of our own home, and that can be visualized through the related App.
A team that turned passion into everyone’s well-being
The project has been developed by GECA (a company with a ten-year experience in the field of gas detectors’ development), GULLIVER (as for the related software platform development) and the University of Brixia (as for the research phase and the characterization of the new detectors supporting the GECA team), thanks to a European call for Regione Lombardia (specifically the Smart Living sector).
It is an initiative aiming at applying the 26/2015 Regional Law “4.0 widespread, creative and technological manufacture” of September 24th 2015 and, under the strategy “Lombardy 5.0: policies for the excellent Lombardy supply chains consolidation and valorization.” It offers to foster collaboration between the companies and the academic world in a view of “extended supply chain” to promote the dialogue between the entrepreneurial and the qualified and innovating services offer systems, to increase the small-medium Italian companies technological-organizational and management skills, to strengthen and improve the export promotion, as well as to enhance the “local excellence supply chains”.
The aim of the call described in the DGR n.X/5520 of August 2nd 2016 is to promote the development and innovation Projects carried out by companies partnerships in collaboration with the Universities System. This is to introduce new products/services as an improvement from the technological, productive and organizational point of view, in order to enhance the “Smart Living” topic, with a specific reference to the Construction, Furniture-Wood-Home and High-tech markets.
In this context, the topic developed by GECA as the Project Lead Partner in collaboration with the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano and Gulliver, is focused on the “indoor air quality check”.
